Mark Noble unsure if Declan Rice will commit to West Ham United amidst Chelsea interest
Speaking on talkSport (h/t Daily Mail), Mark Noble has not ruled out a potential exit on the cards for Chelsea target Declan Rice.
The Blues have been heavily linked with the Hammers star for some time now. It was reported recently that Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia will sanction a move for Rice in the January window.
While Noble hopes Rice will commit to West Ham, he admits once can never be sure of what can happen.
“In this game you never know.”
Still just 21, Rice has developed into a key player for West Ham. Noble believes the youngster will only get better with experience.
“He’s still learning his trade, he’ll get much better with experience.”
A versatile player with a commanding, athletic presence, Rice can do a job in both midfield and defence. He has also shown to have an excellent understanding with Blues star Mason Mount during their time with England.
Rice and Mount are close friends, having come through the Blues youth system. The prospect of the 21-year-old duo dominating Premier League midfields for years to come is an enticing prospect.
West Ham placed a massive asking price of over £73m on Rice in the summer. The Hammers, however, are not ready to drop their valuation, which could make things difficult for Chelsea.

With Rice’s contract running until 2024, West Ham hold the advantage when it comes to negotiations.
Despite his willingness to move, Rice will not look to force through a transfer. The 21-year-old is keen to repay the Hammers for the trust they put in him. (h/t Mirror)
