Juventus and AC Milan keen on loaning Chelsea outcast Antonio Rudiger
According to CalcioMercato (h/t Football.london), Chelsea outcast Antonio Rudiger is garnering interest from Serie A.
Both Juventus and AC Milan are keen on taking the German ace on loan in the January transfer window. Rudiger has been a bit-part player this season and is not considered to be a regular starter.
The 27-year-old has made just five appearances this season. With the likes of Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, and Thiago Silva ahead of him, the prospect of adding to it regularly looks bleak.
The German ace looked to be on his way out of the club this summer. He was linked with a number of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur. However, a deal was not finalised and he stayed put at the Bridge. (h/t The Express)
With the January window arund the corner, he might finally be allowed to move on. Blues boss Frank Lampard is open to leaning out the defender with an option to buy.
Rudiger is also seen as a player who can be sold to secure funds to bring in Declan Rice. Having him sent out on loan could act as an audition for teams keeping an eye on him.
A move to Italy could help rekindle Rudiger’s career. The German is familiar with Serie A, having played for Roma before.
With the European Championships coming up next summer, the chance of playing regularly could appeal to him.

With five senior centre-backs in the squad, losing Rudiger is not something that is likely to affect us adversely. In fact, his limited usage this season has shown us that there is life at the Bridge sans the German.
For the player however, it could represent a glorious chance to resurrect his career.
