Chelsea boss Frank Lampard confirmed that Kai Havertz has tested positive for coronavirus.
The midfielder is now in self-isolation and was not involved in our Champions League game against Rennes yesterday.
Havertz is also set to miss our Premier League game at the weekend against Sheffield United. The Blades have failed to reach last season’s levels and we should be able to beat them sans the German.
Thankfully, the international break has come at the right moment. With a two-week lull to follow the clash against Sheffield, we are well placed to handle Havertz’s absence.
Following Sheffield, we face Newcastle United on 21st November. Plenty of time for the German ace to return.
We wish him a quick recovery. Let’s take a look at how some fans reacted to the news on Twitter.
