Frank Lampard urges Chelsea stars to stay grounded despite Burnley win
According to The Express, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has urged his players to stay grounded despite the victory over Burnley.
The Blues got off to a bad start even before the ball was kicked. Star winger Christian Pulisic had to be replaced by Timo Werner after the former injured his hamstring in the warmup.
Despite that, the Blues rallied to a dominant 3-0 win, with Werner also getting on the scoresheet.
“I’m not going to jump and up and down after a win like this, but it was a really positive day.”
The Blues are getting into form and a sustained run of good results will aid us in mounting a title challenge.
Chelsea look solid both at the front and the back. In fact, after yet another clean sheet, we have now seen our best clean-sheet run since Lampard’s appointment.
Apart from Werner, Edouard Mendy and Hakim Ziyech, the likes of Reece James, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham are all upping their game. This comes at a crucial juncture with the season now beginning to take shape.
It was a night where Chelsea’s new signings once again showcased all the hype surrounding their arrival. Lampard believes building relationships will have a major impact on how our season progresses.
“That’s part of the process when we brought in new players that they have to feel each other. Not just what I saw, but it is their relationships on the pitch.”
The win leaves us just four points off the top of the table. As long as we stay within the touch of the summit, we cannot be written off.

Turf Moor is a difficult stadium for opposition teams to get a result. The ease with which we managed it is a testament to the growth of the side.
Hopefully, this is just the start of things to come.
