According to the Daily Star, Chelsea stars Hakim Ziyech and Billy Gilmour have been involved in a hilarious exchange at the training ground.
The injured duo were given a sneak peek of their attributes on FIFA 21. This in addition to being given a copy of the game.
Gilmour took to Instagram to showcase his stats, along with that of Ziyech and N’Golo Kante.
Fans were initially puzzled to see a pic that showed Ziyech lying on the ground haughing heartily.
They need not have gone far for an answer, with the Moroccan revealing the reason in the comment section.
Ziyech went on to answer in no uncertaiin terms that he did not understand what Gilmour was saying due to his accent.
While it is difficult to integrate a culturally different group of players, the morale within the squad appears to be positive.
Having spent a fortune on players this summer, Frank Lampard will hope his players can all speak the language of football when they take the field.
With players now returning from injury, the Blues boss will soon have a full-strength squad to pick from. Ben Chilwell made his first start midweek while Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are also getting there.
We hope in time that Ziyech and Gilmour get to understand what each other are saying. The last thing we would want is for them to misinterpret what the other is saying in the midst of a match.
