A View From The Bridge

“Pocketed by our 6th choice” – Several Chelsea fans troll Man United new signing after international game

Twitter reacts as Jorginho makes life difficult for Donny van de Beek

Chelsea fans were left amused after Blues star Jorginho made light work of new Manchester United signing Donny van de Beek.

The duo came up against each other as Netherlands took on Italy in their UEFA Nations League fixture yesterday. It proved to be an uneven matchup as Jorginho dominated his Dutch counterpart in every facet of the game.

The 23-year-old was eventually taken off before the hour mark. It proved to be humbling in the first competitive fixture since he signed for the Red Devils.

Jorginho has been linked with a move away from the Bridge this summer. A player who divides opinion in Blue, he looked like a fish in water for Italy.

Chelsea fans took to Twitter to gloat about the player’s performance while also mocking that of Van de Beek. Much has been made of the triad the Dutchman would form alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

If a Chelsea outcast can shut him down, imagine what the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic can achieve.
