Chelsea announce squad numbers for 2020/21 campaign

As confirmed by the club’s official site, Chelsea have released their squad numbers for the 2020/21 campaign.

There has been a slew of changes given the depatrues and arrivals this summer. The most prominent number change saw Christian Pulisic pick up the number 10 jersey.

The American sports the same number for the United States national team. he was given the number 22 at Chelsea last season.

Pulisic’s previous number will now be worn by Moroccon international Hakim Ziyech. The 27-year-old sported the same number at Ajax Amsterdam and looks set to do the same at Stamford Bridge.

The same is the case for fellow summer arrivals Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. The former will wear the number 11 jersey vacated by Pedro while the latter has taken Fikayo Tomori’s number 29.

The duo sported the same numbers at their former clubs. Hopefully, their performances will also stay the same.
