Twitter reacts as Timo Werner shows off incredible finishing in Chelsea training
The signing of Timo Werner has been the most exciting piece of business the club has done in recent years.
The German ace arrived at Stamford Bridge with the reputation of being a serial goalscorer. He scored 34 goals and 13 assists in 45 games at Leipzig last season.
He joined up with his teammates earlier this month before going on to take part in his first training session.
According to a video posted by the club’s official Twitter account, Werner looks to have settled in well at Chelsea.
The German ace was seen skipping past training dummies and turning before unleashing a bullet of a shot towards goal.
The power and accuracy of the shot gave the goalkeeper no chance as it cannoned into the net. It is a sight that Chelsea fans will hope to become familiar with once the season begins.
With the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic to supply him, Werner will not be short of service. That will only improve if Kai Havertz joins the club.
A dynamic player, he looks every bit as advertised. Chelsea fans were excited upon viewing the footage and took to Twitter to express their views. We take a look at a few of them below.
