Inter Milan keen on Emerson Palmieri and Olivier Giroud
According to Italian publication Tuttosport (h/t Mirror), Inter Milan are keen on securing Chelsea duo Olivier Giroud and Emerson Palmieri.
The Nerazzurri have been interested in the Italian defender for some time now. They are also set to rekindle their interest in Giroud after chasing him last January.
However, the deal fell through much to the displeasure of the player. Staying at Chelsea, however, has proven to work out well for Giroud since.
He has played a key role in our attempts to finish in the top four. With Michy Bathsuayi not performing and Tammy Abraham struggling for form, the Frenchman has taken centre stage.
His winner against Norwich City was his 6th goal in 10 matches as the Blues strengthened their grip on third spot.
Emerson, on the other hand, is surplus to requirements. Frank Lampard is keen to bring in a new left-back this summer and considers the Italian expendable.
Having formerly impressed for Roma, Emerson has suitors in two former Chelsea managers – Antonio Conte at Inter Milan and Maurizio Sarri at Juventus. (h/t Daily Star)
Leicester City star Ben Chilwell is Chelsea’s preferred choice. With the Foxes on the verge of dropping out of the top four, it remains to be seen if he will push for a move.
With Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner already joining the Blue revolution, it is the backline that now needs reshaping. There is no doubt that Chilwell is a brilliant player who will only get better.

Emerson has made just 19 appearances for the club this season. He has failed to even make the Chelsea squad for the last six Premier League games. It clearly appears as if his days at the club are numbered.
The same cannot be said of Giroud, who has rebuilt his reputation as a dependable striker. The Blues will do well to keep the Frenchman for another year. Despite being 33, he has proven he still has what it takes.
