Christian Pulisic confirms he is 100% fit to face Arsenal
According to ESPN, Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has declared himself 100% fit to face Arsenal in the FA Cup finals.
The Blues take on the Gunners in the showpiece event at Wembley this Saturday. Victory on the night will ensure Chelsea win our 9th FA Cup in our history.
It will also top off a season that was full of promise and welcome change. Winning his first honor as a manager will also be a learning curve for Frank Lampard.
The Blues boss had confirmed that the 21-year-old was struggling with a minor yet unspecified problem in recent weeks. This saw him being omitted from the semifinal win over Manchester United.
However, he has now confirmed that he is fully fit ahead of the crunch game against Arsenal. (h/t ESPN)
“I never had a real issue. I’m 100% fit.”
He eventually made an impressive cameo against Liverpool before starting the season decider against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was taken off with 12 minutes left for the latter as a precaution.
An unstoppable force on his day, Chelsea will need him to be at his best against the Gunners. This will be the second time in a year that both these teams have faced off against each other in a major final.
An Eden Hazard master class saw us triumph 4-1 at Baku last year in the Europa League final. If we perform to our ability, there is no reason why the same cannot be repeated at the home of football.
Judging by the season’s trend, Pulisic is bound to be at the center of whatever good we do on Saturday. The American international has enjoyed an excellent first season at the Bridge.
Both teams go into the final on the back of an unreliable defence. Hopefully, we will once again triumph against our rivals when it matters the most
