According to Sky Sports, Kai Havertz is keen to wrap up his transfer to Chelsea by next week.

The German international is one of the most sought-after players in world football. If it goes through, he will become Chelsea’s third high-profile capture of the summer.

The German is keen on a move to Chelsea. As of now, only an agreement is holding up what could be a massive transfer.

According to the report, Bayer Leverkusen value Havertz at £90m. However, both parties are hopeful a deal worth £70m plus add-ons.

With Champions League qualification secured, the club can now draw upon the riches of the competition to fund more transfers.

Havertz is back in training with Leverkusen as they prepare for their Europa League game against Rangers which is set to take place next week. The 21-year-old would like the deal to be completed before that game.

He is unlikely to be the last player to join Chelsea this summer. Lampard is also keen to bring in a news new goalkeeper, left-back and a centre-back.

A number of players are set to make way for the incoming ones. These include Jorginho, Emerson, Marcos Alonso, Davide Zappacosta, Michy Batshuayi, and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
