The Algerian international joined the Championship outfit in the summer of 2018 from French Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice. And he has been a huge hit for the Bees since making the move to England.
Till date, he has featured 86 times for Brentford, bagging 28 goals and 26 assists. The 2019/20 campaign, in particular, has seen Benrahma set the stage on fire with sensational performances one after the other.
With 17 goals and 9 assists from 41 matches, the 24-year-old has led Brentford’s charge for a promotion from the front. Indeed, the Bees are sitting third in the Championship standings, just a point below West Bromwich Albion in second, with a game in hand as well.
This has naturally led to a number of big clubs taking note of the winger, including Chelsea and Arsenal. However, manager Frank has dismissed the speculations, claiming that the winger is more than happy where he is. (h/t Metro)
“I don’t know anything and if I haven’t been told anything then I don’t think it’s true. It’s a rumour. He’s enjoying his football at Brentford and we’ve a big aim to go for so I think it’s easy to know this isn’t true.”

With question marks over the futures of Willian and Pedro, a new winger would certainly help strengthen our attack. And, Benrahma, based on current form, would be a masterstroke addition.
However, with the Bees pushing for promotion, it will be interesting to see if the Algerian decides to leave the club in the summer.
