According to the Daily Star, Lampard will be able to call upon four such players for the match against Aston Villa.
Tammy Abraham, N’Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all benefitted from the layoff and are now back in contention.
Match fitness still remains to be regained, but having the option of calling upon the quartet will offer Lampard more options.
Abraham is the club’s top scorer this season, while Kante is unbreachable when on song. Add to it the guile, pace and the incisiveness of Pulisic and we have a strong line-up capable of finishing in the top four.
Loftus-Cheek remains the one who needs to be eased in more carefully given his lengthy layoff. Having spent nearly a year on the sidelines, he will need to be handled carefully.
