Usually deployed in the middle of the park, Ruben spent his first match back on the wing. He lasted 55 minutes before being subbed off.

He wistfully recollects how he could make use of his power and strength to become a dominating force last season. A player with an eye for goal, he can add much to the Chelsea squad.

Right now it is imperative that he gets back to full match fitness as quickly as possible. His ability is not in question and should blossom once he is completely ready.
