The Foxes star is a key target for Frank Lampard, who is keen to strengthen at left-back. With the futures of both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso up in the air, bringing in a replacement is necessary. (h/t Daily Star)
The Blues are ready to make a bid worth £50m for Chilwell. According to Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers though, the club will not even entertain offers for their star defender. (h/t Daily Star)
“With Ben, we’re not even considering it. He’s very committed and we want to finish the season strongly.”
He believes there have been examples of players wanting to move to bigger clubs. But given the Foxes’ rise this season, Chilwell has enough opportunities to succeed at the King Power Stadium. (h/t Daily Star)
Leicester are currently in the third spot and look likely to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. (h/t Daily Star)
“I recognise players may look beyond Leicester City Football Club but I’ve never felt that was the case with Ben.”
Chelsea’s planned offer is way below Leicester’s asking price of £85m. This will make Chilwell the most expensive defender in history. (h/t Daily Star)
The 23-year-old Chilwell has been a regular in the Leicester team this season. Having shown his capability to play at the highest level, he will be an excellent signing.
Chilwell has made 118 appearances for the Foxes and has contributed with three goals and 12 assists. Not only is he a solid defender, but also excellent going forward.
