Chelsea lead race to sign Udinese ace Juan Musso to replace Kepa
According to a report by TuttoUdinese (h/t Daily Express), Chelsea have identified Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso to replace Kepa Arrizablaga in the summer transfer window.
Despite paying a sizeable fee to acquire Kepa’s services, his time at Chelsea has been far from favourable.
He got off to a promising start under former manager Maurizio Sarri but the duo had a falling out when the goalkeeper refused to come off the pitch as a direct violation to the former’s call for substitution.
Since then, Kepa’s performances have also plummeted along the way. After a string of glaring errors this season, he was frozen out of the first-team picture by Frank Lampard.
The former Chelsea midfielder has sparked a youth revolution at the club but Kepa’s lacklustre form has led to his undoing. In fact, in the last few games, Lampard even decided to start Willy Caballero ahead of the youngster.
As a result, it makes sense for us to target Musso, who has been promising for the Serie A outfit so far this term.

The report goes on to add that money would be no object in our pursuit of the 25-year-old. Considering Kepa’s form between the sticks lately, it would be advisable to sign someone like Musso.
