According to Daily Mail, Chelsea will face Premier League rivals Leicester City in the quarter-final of the FA Cup. We recently progressed to the next round after pulling off an emphatic win against Liverpool.
The report goes on to add that Arsenal will face Sheffield United. Although the Blades are a newly-promoted side, they have shown great strength of character in the top-flight this term.
Meanwhile, our fixture against Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying Foxes won’t be easy, by any means. They are 5 points ahead of us in the league standings and have looked quite menacing in the ongoing campaign.
As far as their goal tally is concerned (both scored and conceded), suffice to say that Leicester have outperformed us. In fact, they have conceded the second-least number of goals this term – one lesser than Liverpool.
We have scored and shipped in 47 and 39 goals respectively but the Foxes have registered 54 goals to their name while conceding just 28.
The gulf in numbers paint a clear picture of the situation so far and it will be an uphill battle for us in the next round.
