Chelsea star Willian submits plea to fly back to Brazil amidst coronavirus scare
According to a report by The Sun, Chelsea star Willian has submitted a plea to be allowed to fly back to Brazil despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The disease is rapidly spreading across the world and as a result, daily life has come to a nasty halt. It has affected the footballing community as well, with further action suspended until the end of April.
These are trying times indeed and Willian’s request to return to Brazil to be with his family is not unusual, by any means.
However, as a result of precautionary measures, flights and even trains have taken a huge hit.
Several countries are currently in lockdown mode and in such a situation, it will be interesting to see how the Chelsea hierarchy deals with his request.
His desire to be with his family is absolutely understandable but at the same time, it would be a huge risk to travel right now. Given the circumstances, the best that we can do is self-isolate to curb the virus from spreading further.
The Sun claims that only essential travel is being permitted and due to the restrictions in place, Willian would face difficulties if he is allowed to go ahead.
