Hakim Ziyech wants to see Ajax teammate Andre Onana at Chelsea
According to a report by Daily Mail, Hakim Ziyech wants to see his Ajax teammate Andre Onana at Chelsea. The playmaker, who will officially join us in the summer, had agreed on a £37m deal in the January window.
The report adds that he is close friends with Onana and hopes to persuade Chelsea to sign him. The Cameroonian, who is a goalkeeper by trade, prefers a move to join either us or Tottenham Hotspur, as per Daily Mail.
Onana, who has spent five years with the Dutch giants, would cost a fee in the region of £40-50million.
Frank Lampard has reinstated Kepa Arrizabalaga to the first-team squad but despite that, he could be interested in signing a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, reports Daily Mail.
The report adds that La Liga giants Barcelona are also keen on securing Onana’s services at the end of the season.
With the race to sign Onana heating up, perhaps Chelsea should pay heed to Ziyech and make a move for the talented goalkeeper.
He has been pivotal to Ajax’s domestic dominance and has even played a starring role during their European exploits. Kepa, on the other hand, hasn’t been at his best for a long time and has not lived up to his lofty price tag.

Lampard needs a new goalkeeper – someone he can rely on and trust between the sticks. Unfortunately, neither Kepa nor Willy Caballero can be that man for us right now. Thus, signing Onana would represent a wise decision.
