Olivier Giroud opened the scoring within the first half-hour. Shortly after half-time, Marcos Alonso scored a screamer, putting us 2-0 ahead.
Tottenham failed to do much to deter our dominance and the result speaks for itself. After the loss to Manchester United, this does come as a huge sigh of relief ahead of a tough fixture against Bayern Munich.
There were several positives for us in this game and it will be interesting to see if our team can maintain the momentum from here on.
The win is very important and could have a huge significance in the top-four race. The team would be wise to build on from here and maintain their form as the going gets tougher with time.
