Chelsea are keeping tabs on Wigan’s 22-year-old left-back, Antonee Robinson, according to Mirror.
The youngster was a surprise January transfer target for Italian giants AC Milan. Unfortunately for the player, the deal fell through and he returned to Wigan.
A silver lining for the player is that the Rossenori’s attentions have brought him to the notice of at least three Premier League sides, with Chelsea among them.
The former Everton youth product joined the Latics for £1.98million on a permanent basis last summer. The 22-year-old spent the previous season on loan at the DW Stadium.
Left-back is a position that the Blues are looking to strengthen this summer. With Marcos Alonso out of favour and Emerson linked with a return to Serie A, Robinson could find himself go into the first-team if he joins the Blues.
Robinson has made 30 appearances for Wigan this season and has scored one goal. (h/t Whoscored)
The 22-year-old has also won seven caps for the US Men’s national football team. He made his international bow against Bolivia in 2018 and grabbed an assist.
