Juventus are eyeing up a move for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri, according to Metro.
The Italian full-back managed to beat Marcos Alonso to first-team place in the latter half the season and played a great part in the Europa League final win over Arsenal.
Having begun as a bench warmer at Stamford Bridge, Emerson started to showcase his quality as the season progressed, eventually getting recognition from Maurizio Sarri.
The 24-year-old was signed from AS Roma last year and featured in the remainder of the games last season. And his move to Stamford Bridge allowed him to make his debut for Italy national team.
Now, the Bianconeri are keen on bringing Emerson to Turin as they look to replace out-of-sorts Alex Sandro. The Brazilian left-back’s impressive start only flattered to deceive as he failed to make the cut in the latter half of the season.
The Blues don’t seem to have too many options available for the left-back position as we have only Marcos Alonso apart from Emerson.
Emerson is the first-choice now and his exit certainly will leave the Blues in deep peril as they are also restricted to make any new signings due to the prevailing transfer ban.
Sarri has led us to Europa League glory in his first season at Stamford Bridge and the board must back him as much as they can as the Italian sets out on a fresh journey next season.
