Chelsea are eyeing up a potential move for Steve Holland for the next managerial job at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sun.
Maurizio Sarri’s move to Juventus looks imminent and the Blues are planning for his replacement.
The Italian gaffer successfully led his side to Europa League glory and a third place in the Premier League table in his debut stint in London.
However, Sarri’s ethics and the lack of mutual respect with the fans and the players have incurred him to more disapproval from the very beginning.
Now the Londoners have set their eyes on their former manager Holland to take up the job on a full-time basis.
Holland, 49, who currently works as the assistant to England head coach Gareth Southgate, previously worked as the Blues’ assistant manager as well.
Furthermore, he was able to savour the tutelage of great managers like Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
He also inspired the Blues reserves to lift the reserves league title when he was their manager between 2009 and 2011.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea star Frank Lampard is being heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge after impressing as Derby County manager in his first ever managerial stint. Ex-Old Lady boss Massimiliano Allegri is also on the wish list to replace Sarri.
