Chelsea unwilling to sell Kurt Zouma because of transfer ban
Chelsea are unwilling to sell Kurt Zouma this summer as they cite him as the replacement for Gary Cahill, according to the Sun.
The French defender has had a wonderful loan spell with the Everton, playing 34 games and bagging four goals in all competitions.
With the Toffees ready to make him a permanent stay at Goodison Park, the Blues are likely to deny the offer given their current ban imposed by FIFA for the next two transfer windows.
Zouma signed for the Stamford Bridge outfit from St. Etienne in 2014 and has been on loan for the past two seasons. The 24-year-old has made a total of 71 appearances for the Blues and has earned three caps for the France national team.
The Londoners have decided to offer him a new role to fill the shoes of Cahill, who is set to leave the club after serving for over seven years.
The 33-year-old English defender became an outcast lately as he failed to beat the likes of Rudiger, David Luiz and Christensen for a first-team spot.
Now, Zouma has a great chance of dethroning Brazilian centre-back Luiz, who is in the twilight of his career.
