Allegri has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge
Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri has been linked with Chelsea after he sought an exit from Juventus, according to the Sun.
The Serie A gaffer bid his farewell to Turin on Sunday and emphasised that the management played a part behind his exit despite winning a series of titles.
Furthermore, the 51-year-old insisted that he wouldn’t lay back from his managerial stint as he eagerly wants to work with an exciting project in the upcoming season.
“I am not particularly looking for a year off. I’ll only take a sabbatical if I have to, but otherwise the idea is to find a project that convinces me.”
Now the London club eyes Allegri as the potential replacement for Maurizio Sarri, whose future remains uncertain at Stamford Bridge.
In the roundabout, Sarri is one of the contenders to fill the vacant post at Turin. The former Napoli manager’s first campaign in the Premier League has gone well, with the Blues finishing third in the Premier League table.
Despite an eventful season, Sarri was still able to lead his side to the Europa League finals, which will be played against Arsenal later this month.
Will Allegri be a great addition for the Londoners?
The former Milan manager will be a perfect fit for the Blues in their quest for Premier league dominance next season.
And he has racked up 5 Serie A titles since taking the helm at Turin in 2015 and won 9 major honours with the teams he managed despite losing two Champions League finals.

The Blues would benefit a lot from Allegri as they did with his fellow countryman Antonio Conte years ago.
