“Things are going well” – Chelsea star open to a permanent switch to his current loan club

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is open to joining AC Milan on a permanent deal. The Frenchman failed to impress in his debut season at Stamford Bridge and was sent out on loan to the Milan giants at the start of this campaign.

The 24-year-old struggled initially but has come good in recent games. Bakayoko has made 26 appearances for the Milan giants and is more than willing to stay at the San Siro.

Speaking to French paper Nice Matin (h/t Daily Mail), the Frenchman admitted that the Blues would have the final decision:

“Milan are a legendary club. Who wouldn’t like to stay at a club like Milan for a long time? Then you have the atmosphere at San Siro, which is extraordinary. Things are going well for the club and I right now.

“Having said that, I’m still under contract with Chelsea for the next three years. I don’t have all the cards.”

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea have a certain way of playing and it seems unlikely that Bakayoko would fit into the scheme of things.

Jorginho

It is a positive thing for the Blues that the Frenchman has found his feet at the San Siro and hopefully, he can continue putting in some quality performances for the Milan giants. The better the midfielder performs until the end of the season, the higher the transfer fee we could demand.

Sarri’s midfield duo of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho seem irreplaceable, and there is a real fight between Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley for the other midfield slot in the starting XI this season.

Bakayoko seems to be one of those big-money mistakes in the transfer window and let’s see if we can get a good deal for the Frenchman in the summer.
