Chelsea are in the race to sign Isco of Real Madrid, according to Rai Sport (h/t Calciomercato). The Spanish attacker hasn’t been great for the La Liga giants this season and only has four goals to his name this season in all competitions.
The 26-year-old has played in several positions this season but only has eight starts in the Champions League and La Liga combined.
The report adds that the attacker has fallen out of favour under current manager Santiago Solari and could be heading for the exit in the summer.
There is interest from Manchester City and Juventus for the Spanish attacker, however, the report adds that the Premier League clubs are ahead of the Italian giants due to their financial superiority.
Chelsea could do with more attacking players and Isco could be a great signing given his versatility to play in the attack and the midfield. The Blues have already signed Christian Pulisic for the upcoming season, and we also brought in Gonzalo Higuain on loan in January.
The Argentine scored a brace in the demolition of Huddersfield, and Isco could do a great job either in the midfield or out wide.
It will be interesting to see our transfer activity in the summer and reaching the Champions League will be a requirement to attract the best talent in the world.
