The Mirror reports that Chelsea have rejected a £20m offer for 18-year-old attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The report adds that the Blues have slapped a £40million price tag on the Englishman who hasn’t featured much under Maurizio Sarri.
The 18-year-old has a couple of starts to his name in the Europa League and played 42 minutes in the 2-1 win over Watford recently.
However, Sarri seems to stick to his team and opportunities seem limited for the English youngster. The report adds that Chelsea are open to selling Hudson-Odoi but they won’t let the attacker leave on the cheap.
It seems a bit of a surprise if we are to let go of the talent as the report claims that Hudson-Odoi was promised first-team action this season.
We don’t have many attacking options to cover Eden Hazard, Willian or Pedro but the youngster can be given a few minutes to bring him up to speed.
The Bundesliga seems to be a bit of a hit for English talent moving over with Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho performing well with their respective clubs.
However, if we can get £40million for the youngster in any window, it would be an incredible bit of business.
The youngster is yet to impress for the first-team at Chelsea, and we could invest this money into a player that Sarri wants.
