The Daily Mail (h/t Express) claims that Chelsea have several targets in the winter window with Nabil Fekir one of them.
The Frenchman was close to joining Liverpool in a £53million deal (h/t Express) but the deal fell through due to issues with his medical.
Maurizio Sarri is ready to move for the Lyon star and hopes to sign him for a fee lower than that since the Frenchman is out of contract in 2020.
The 25-year-old had a wonderful season with Lyon last season and has 9 goals and 4 assists from all competitions this time around. Fekir played a part in France’s World Cup win and would be an excellent addition to this Chelsea team. Sarri didn’t sign any attacker after arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer and we need better options in the team going forward.
The Blues were handed another shock when they lost to Leicester City at home and now lie 11 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The aim for Sarri should be to get the team back into the Champions League, and Fekir would provide us with a lot of creativity in the final third.
It will be difficult negotiating with Jean-Michel Aulas but Chelsea should have money to spend on the players they want.
