Watford star Roberto Pereyra is flattered by Chelsea’s interested in him. The Argentine attacker has been excellent for the Hornets this season with five goals in 11 games and has helped them to the eighth spot in the Premier League.
The Sun reports that a number of clubs, including Chelsea, are interested in the 27-year-old. The Argentine was quoted by the Sun claiming that he could have returned to Italy but decided to stay in England.
“Return to Italy? We talked about it but in the end I decided to keep playing here.
“Now I hope to keep going like I am now, with a club like Chelsea mentioned. It’s nice that you talk about a team that is so fond of me.”
Pereyra has been one reason why Watford are doing this well under Javi Gracia and the Argentine has matched his league goal tally from last season already.
The former Juventus man has taken time to adjust to the Premier League, and it seems Gracia is getting the best out of the 27-year-old.
Pereyra can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and could be a decent signing for the Blues. However, we are blessed with numerous options for our midfield, and it is tough seeing Pereyra take over from Eden Hazard on the left.

The Argentine could do a decent job on the right wing with competition from Willian and Pedro, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for him.
