Chelsea have identified rising Italian star Sandro Tonali as a top target, according to Calciomercato (h/t Daily Star).
The 18-year-old has been in incredible form for Brescia in Serie B and has 11 appearances with one goal this season under his belt.
The report claims that Tonali has been marked as a “world-class” player in the future and could be worth £30m.
The youngster has been called up to the international side and the report adds that he will get his first cap for Italy soon.
The midfielder has garnered interest from a couple of other clubs with Manchester City and Juventus keeping a close eye on his development, as per the report.
The youngster was recently speaking about his growth and comparisons with Andrea Pirlo and said (h/t Daily Star):
“Comparison with Pirlo? I was inspired by him, but I never saw each other again. We may be similar to our hair.
“My model is Gattuso for malice. I can play in front of the defence, but I grew up from the inside.
“Target? I want to win, in Italy or abroad. Who was I a fan of as a child? Milan.”
The youngster seems to be one of the brightest players in Italy, and it will be interesting to track his growth in the coming months.
