Chelsea have to move fast if they want to sign Benfica’s Joao Felix as the Portuguese club have offered him a deal with a release clause of £105million, according to the Mirror.
The report claims the player is close to agreeing to terms with his club, and that would be a problem for the Blues.
The 18-year-old has a release clause of £45million in his current deal, according to the report, and has had a great start to the campaign.
The youngster has a couple of goals to his name this season for the Eagles, and a number of clubs are interested in the Portuguese midfielder.
West Ham tried to sign the player last month and clubs from Italy and Spain are keeping tabs on the 18-year-old. The report claims that Felix could agree a deal with Benfica as early as Monday, which would could be an issue for the Blues.
The youngster’s current deal has four years left to run, and the report claims Benfica could look to get the maximum value for the 18-year-old.
Chelsea have a number of quality young attackers in the side, and the fee being touted for the Benfica lad does seem a little excessive.
