Chelsea are keeping an eye on what job Antonio Conte takes up next as it concerns their pay-off to the former manager, according to the Telegraph.
The Italian was replaced by Maurizio Sarri at the start of the season but the Blues haven’t reached an agreement regarding his severance, as per the report.
The Blues aren’t willing to pay £9million as per the final year of Conte’s contract and believe he contributed to his own dismissal, according to the Telegraph.
The Italian has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Real Madrid and the report claims Bayern Munich could target him after a poor start to the campaign under Niko Kovac.
The report adds that the severance package decision could be taken to court if neither party backs down.
It is important for the Blues to see where Conte goes. The Chelsea deal states the Italian would not get any compensation from the time he took over at an English club, as per the report.
Should the former Chelsea manager decide to take up the United job, it would cost him £5m. However, a move to Bayern or Real would leave the table open for Chelsea and our former manager to negotiate a pay-off, as per the report.
