Chelsea’s 22-year-old starlet eyed as a replacement for Arsenal’s exit-bound superstar

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will seek a loan move in January as he hasn’t started enough games under Maurizio Sarri, reports the Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old was part of the England World Cup squad after an impressive season with Crystal Palace. However, the midfielder has only started one game this season for Chelsea in the 1-0 Europa League win over Vidi.

The English youngster is wanted by a number of clubs as the report claims Everton and Crystal Palace are interested in the midfielder.

The report adds Arsenal to the list of teams wanting Loftus-Cheek. However, a bid from the Gunners depends on them selling Aaron Ramsey in the upcoming window.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The Welshman will be out of contract at Arsenal next season and a number of clubs are interested in the 27-year-old.

Loftus-Cheek needs regular starts to develop further and with the likes of Ross Barkley, Cesc Fabregas, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho at the Blues, the Englishman will find it tough to gain minutes on the pitch.

The 22-year-old should be allowed to leave on loan in the January window. There is a lot of interest in him and a loan move could work wonders for the youngster.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Ramsey as well, and it will be interesting to see how things progress for the Welshman and Loftus-Cheek when the January window opens.
