Chelsea face Derby County in a testing Carabao Cup fourth round fixture next week. The Rams are managed by legendary midfielder Frank Lampard, who knocked Manchester United out in the previous round.
The Championship club have a couple of Chelsea youngsters on loan and have permitted the pair to play against us.

Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have done well at Pride Park stadium, and the club believed this experience would be useful to the pair. A statement released from the club read:
“Mount and Tomori have been regulars for the Rams under Frank Lampard this season, and, after beating Manchester United at Old Trafford in the previous round, we believe the experience of facing top-level opposition once more will be of benefit to their on-going development at Derby.”
It would be strange to see a couple of our players taking the field against us. However, several fans were pleased with the decision and applauded the club on Twitter.
I actually disagree with this. I agree that Both Mount and Tomori will benefit in terms of development. However, it’s about the here and now and Chelsea’s progression in the cup. I’m not saying this is going to mean we’ll get beat, but it certainly gives derby a better chance!

Great news.. We can finally see the progress of both players right before our watchful eyes.

Remember all those people who criticised the club when clearly a decision hadn’t even been made. Wonder if those outraged people would admit to being wrong themselves for jumping the gun.

This looks like a very good decision but I hope Mount’s goal doesn’t knock us out

In modern day football I think this is absolutely class from Chelsea.. definitely we’ve got a better chance with those 2 but I can’t see anything but a Chelsea win but great to see what Chelsea have done
