Chelsea working to terminate the contract of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Liverpool’s new signing Fabinho has come out in support of his former teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko, as he believes the Chelsea man will come back stronger for the Blues.

Bakayoko was signed from AS Monaco last season but he didn’t impress enough at Stamford Bridge.

The French midfielder was sent on loan to AC Milan in the summer but Fabinho believes the 24-year-old will come good.

The Brazilian was speaking to Yahoo (h/t Metro), claiming Bakayoko didn’t really struggle much at the Bridge:

“I watched a few games and he seemed always good to me.

“Obviously, in your first season in a new club it’s always difficult and I wasn’t expecting him to leave, but AC Milan are getting a great player.

“I’m sure he’ll be able to prove how good he is and show what he did at Monaco.

“I’m sure if he comes back to England he will be stronger and will show everyone what he’s capable of.”

The Brazilian would be aware of Bakayoko’s brilliance as they were excellent for Monaco in the Ligue 1. Furthermore, the Frenchman wasn’t given a lot of time on the pitch as he was whisked away to Milan.

The report adds that the Italian club have the option to sign Bakayoko permanently at the end of the loan period. His time in Italy could decide his future as some quality performances could lead to his return to the Blues.

The midfielder has to buckle up and perform at Milan, else he might have to search for a new club at the end of the season.
