Chelsea must bounce back from the 0-0 draw against West Ham United on Sunday. Our next game pits us against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and we face the Reds again on Saturday in a blockbuster clash.
Liverpool have won all their games this season and this will be a true test of our progress under Maurizio Sarri.
There is no doubt we will be resting some players ahead of the weekend clash. As things stand, Sarri has some tough decisions to make and here is our predicted line-up to face Liverpool at Anfield.
Predicted Chelsea XI
Formation: 4-3-3
Manager: Maurizio Sarri
Willy Caballero (GK)
It was a surprise to see Kepa start in the Europa League game but Caballero must get a game in midweek.
Davide Zappacosta (RB)
Cesar Azpilicueta has looked a little tired in recent games and the Italian should replace the captain for this game.
Gary Cahill (CB)
Cahill got a few minutes as he replaced Antonio Rudiger in the draw against the Hammers and the Englishman should be fit to face the Reds.
Andreas Christensen (CB)
The Dane deserves a few minutes under his belt and we could see him start alongside the more experienced Cahill at Anfield.
Emerson Palmieri (LB)
Marcos Alonso is another player who needs a break and Palmieri should replace the Spaniard.
Cesc Fabregas (CM)
Fabregas was fit enough to be on the bench against West Ham and the Spaniard should start against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Ross Barkley (CM)
The Englishman had one great shot which was saved well in the game against the Hammers and we should let the former Everton star play against the Reds on Wednesday.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek (CM)
Loftus-Cheek should get a game as Sarri must rest a few important players ahead of the weekend’s game.
Pedro (LW)
The Spaniard didn’t play in the previous game but he should give us some bite in the attack.
Alvaro Morata (ST)
Morata missed a glorious chance in the draw against West Ham but should lead the line in place of Olivier Giroud.

Victor Moses (RW)
Moses hasn’t featured a lot under Sarri but the Nigerian should start against one of his former clubs.
