Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes the Blues need to bring in just one more player before the transfer window shuts down. Sarri has completed two signings so far, with Jorginho and Rob Green joining the team.
However, the former Napoli manager was quoted by Sky Sports saying that one more signing will do the job. But he did not specify who that player would be.
“I think we need something. But only maybe one player.
“I spoke with the club about the market but only one time, no more. I spoke about positions but no specifics – no names – so I don’t know.”
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players in the transfer window throughout the summer. The likes of Daniele Rugani (h/t Mirror) and Wilfried Zaha (h/t Daily Mail) have been linked with the club in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see which player the Blues end up signing.
Sarri also spoke about the fact that the managers at Chelsea don’t stay for long. The Italian did, however, say that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge for long.
“I have to win and then it depends on the club but I want to stay here for a long time.”

The Italian will get a first proper taste of English football when Chelsea face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday. A win against Pep Guardiola’s men would be an ideal start for Sarri’s tenure in England as we look for lots of success with the Italian.
