Chelsea have made a world-record bid of £71.6m to sign Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga according to Sky Sports.
Thibaut Courtois is off to Real Madrid and BBC claims that the deal has been completed, with Kovacic traveling in the opposite direction.
Maurizio Sarri seems to like the Bilbao keeper as he was quoted by Sky Sport as saying:
“I saw him one year ago. My first impression was that he is a very good goalkeeper, very young, but very, very good.”
The 23-year-old Arrizabalaga played 31 games for Bilbao last season and was also a part of the 23-man squad for the Spanish team that went to the World Cup.
While Courtois going out of Chelsea, a number of fans shared their reactions to us lodging a world-record bid for the keeper and here are some of the best tweets from Twitter.
