Gary Cahill is being linked with a move to Turkish club Galatasaray, according to Fotomac (h/t Mirror)
The English defender played 43 times for us last season but has not made an appearance for the Blues in the ongoing campaign.
The 32-year-old, who currently earns wages in the region of £85,000-a-week, was not even part of the 18-man squad for our opening two fixtures of the Premier League campaign.
The Mirror adds that Cahill has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge under Maurizio Sarri, as the Italian has reinstated David Luiz into the starting XI.
Fotomac (h/t Mirror) adds that Chelsea’s Marina Granovskaia met with Galatasaray’s president to finalize the deal.
The Mirror claims that Cahill will be out of contract at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old’s sudden departure would certainly catch a few off-guard, as the Englishman was part of our defence last season.
The former Bolton man even travelled with the England squad for the World Cup where the Three Lions finished fourth.
Should we let Cahill leave, Chelsea would only have Andreas Christensen, David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger as centre-backs with first-team experience.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Ethan Ampadu can play at the heart of the defence. However, not keeping cover for Luiz and Rudiger would be a big risk for the remainder of the season.
