Chelsea are adamant that they will not sell their star attacker Eden Hazard to Real Madrid even for £170million, according to the Mirror.
The 27-year-old was one of the best players at the World Cup as he helped Belgium finish third but he did leave the door open regarding a move away from Stamford Bridge after six years in London.
Real have lost Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus and reportedly see Hazard as the perfect player to join the side in the summer.
However, Chelsea are willing to provide Hazard with a new deal worth £300,000-a-week and will look to seal the deal once the 27-year-old returns from his holiday in a couple of weeks.
The Belgian does have a couple of years left on his current contract, which provides us with some relief but ensuring that he signs a new deal is the right thing for the club to do.
Hazard is one of the jewels in the Premier League and if he gets his head right, he will be a handful for the defenders next season.
Maurizio Sarri does like to play an attack-oriented game and we could see Hazard blossom under our new manager. The 27-year-old didn’t have a fantastic season last time around but things can change, especially after his incredible performance in the World Cup.

The Belgian certainly has to remain at the club and even if we have to put up £300,000-a-week in wages, it will all be worth it.
