“I would like to have fun with him” – Sarri relishes the prospect of working with 27-year-old

Eden Hazard might have been linked with a move away from Chelsea but new manager Maurizio Sarri claims he can improve the Belgian at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian took over from Antonio Conte a few days ago and even cited the example of Dries Mertens and how the Belgian improved under him in Napoli.

Sarri was quoted by the Daily Star as saying that Hazard is one of the top two or three players in Europe. He also shared his plans for the Belgian in the coming week.

“I would like to have fun during the week with him, this would mean good results and being competitive at the end of the season.”

Sarri also gave the example of how Mertens was a different case to Hazard’s but he knows it will be tough to improve the Chelsea star since he is already at a high level.

“With Mertens it is different. Dries had been an external striker, everybody thought by necessity he became a high level player.

“Two top players, I hope I will improve Hazard too, but this will be very difficult.”

Hazard has openly stated that he could be willing to move away from the club and Real Madrid is the club reportedly chasing his signature.

Sarri can certainly work wonders with players and if he can keep Hazard, the Belgian could reach a completely new level at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian has a big job ahead of him to try and convince players to stay here and if the planning is right, we might even end up with the league title.
