Chelsea are ready to reject any approaches made by Real Madrid or Barcelona for their star attacker Eden Hazard, according to the Telegraph.
The Belgian has been linked with a move away from the Bridge in recent weeks but the Blues have slapped an asking price of £200million on Hazard. Real would struggle to match that fee and we must do everything we can to retain his services.
The club will also offer Hazard a contract of £300,000-a-week, despite him having two years left on his current deal with the Blues. It would be up to Hazard to either push for an exit from the club or accept the decision and stick with us.
Hazard had hinted that he would be open to a move away from the club during the World Cup and with the tournament over, we can get back to negotiating with the 27-year-old and ensuring he stays with us for a few more years.
The Belgian is one of the best players in the world, as we saw during the World Cup, and losing him would leave a huge gap in the Chelsea side.
New manager Maurizio Sarri must utilize Hazard to the best of his abilities and the Belgian should give us another year at least and see where things go with Sarri.
A fit and firing Hazard would be a threat to most defences in the Premier League and he could lead us back to the top-four if Sarri gets his tactics right.
