N’Golo Kante is a top priority for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to Daily Star. The report further states that the club would be willing to spend more than £100m for the Frenchman.
Kante has been one of the best players for Chelsea since moving to Stamford Bridge a couple of years ago. In addition to that, he has also been starring for France at the World Cup.
The 27-year-old would be offered a major pay hike too. As per the report, the Frenchman is currently earning £100,000-a-week while PSG would offer him wages in the region of £220,000-a-week.
The French club are also willing to throw in Adrien Rabiot as a sweetener. Losing Kante would be tough given that he has been excellent for us. In fact, he is rightfully considered as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
While PSG’s offer does sound tempting, we should do all we can to keep the 27-year-old. Kante played 47 games for us across all competitions last season and is well-known for his tackling and defensive work.
Rabiot is someone who could turn out to be a great performer but he has a few rough edges that need to be ironed out. However, if we do sell Kante, we must wait until the World Cup gets over since we would be able to command a higher fee.

Ideally, we must try to retain Kante and build a team that can challenge for the top-four and more next season. But if PSG come calling, we should charge an astronomical fee.
