Chelsea have entered the race to sign Manchester United star Anthony Martial, according to the Times (h/t ESPN). The French attacker has been linked with a move away from the Manchester club and the Blues reportedly see him as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard should the Belgian leave Stamford Bridge.
Another club that is looking to sign Martial up is Juventus and the Old Lady seemed to be in the driving seat for the 22-year-old until they ended up signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also interested in Martial.
There is another major problem if we are looking to complete the deal for Martial as United want €100million for the attacker.
While Martial did not have the best of seasons under Jose Mourinho last time around, he certainly is one of the brightest players in the Premier League and could turn out to be a decent player under our new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The 22-year-old has the pace to burn and could fit into the team really well but it seems unlikely any club would be willing to stump up the €100million that United are looking for the player.
They might be hoping for a bidding war, with Munich, Juventus and us interested. However, we should only look to sign him for a lot cheaper than the €100million.

Martial’s agent had stated that the player wanted to star somewhere else this season. It will certainly be interesting to see how the Martial drama unfolds in the coming weeks.
