Chelsea might have signed just Jorginho for the season so far but the Daily Mail reports that Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia were planning to bid £65million for American sensation Christian Pulisic.
The report also claims that the discussion took place at Antibes, as he held meetings not only with Granovskaia but also with Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, the latter being a discussion about a move for Gonzalo Higuain. Abramovich also had a meeting with Maurizio Sarri.
There was a lot of talk with Juventus done, with the meeting taking place in Nice on Saturday, for Daniele Rugani, Higuain and Mattia Caldara. Higuain will cost around £55m and that might have an impact on the future of Alvaro Morata.
There is a lot of work that has to be done with regards to the transfers at the Bridge and we seem to be leaving it a little late to get the deals done.
We only have a couple of weeks before the start of the season and negotiating with so many players will take a toll on the side.
The Blues are not in the Champions League for the campaign and to ensure we reach the top, we need investment in terms of quality players coming in.
