Miralem Pjani met with his agent to discuss a possible move to Premier League side Chelsea, according to reports from Italy (h/t Metro). The midfielder was one of the stars for the Juventus last season as he scored 7 times and provided 14 assists.
While the Serie A giants want the 28-year-old to sign a new contract and stay in Turin, his new agent Fali Ramadani has spoken to the player about moving to Stamford Bridge.
The report claims the pair met up at a Rome restaurant on Wednesday and there might be some good news for us as Ramadani had a major role to play in Maurizio Sarri’s move to the club.
The Italian manager is reportedly a big fan of Pjanic but there would be one major obstacle as the club is already looking to sign Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
There is additional interest in Pjanic from Barcelona too and Ramadani had spoken to the 28-year-old about a possible move to the Nou Camp too.
Chelsea have already started bringing in new players as Jorginho has arrived from Napoli and if we do bring in Pjanic, our midfield would be set for the upcoming season.
Sarri does need to make a few changes to the squad to stamp his authority and Pjanic would not be the last player from the Serie A to be linked with a move to the Bridge before the end of the transfer window.
