Here’s how the Chelsea stars fared against Man United in the FA Cup final – Hazard 8/10, Kante 8/10

Chelsea ended the season by picking up the FA Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Manchester United. Eden Hazard scored the only goal of the game via a penalty in the 22nd minute after being brought down by Phil Jones.

There really wasn’t much in the game between the two sides and Manchester United did have a goal ruled out for offside and rightly so. The Manchester side did dominate possession in the second half but could not break down the Blues.

Antonio Conte’s future is still up in the air but at least we have something to celebrate now after a rather poor season. There were a number of star performers in the match and here’s how the boys fared.

Chelsea Player Ratings

Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

The Belgian did have a few saves to make and did a good job in saving everything that United threw at him.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 7.5/10

Dave was at his best again, even with United dominating possession for most of the game.

Gary Cahill – 7.5/10

This could have been one of Cahill’s best games this season and he was excellent as a part of the back three that shut out United.

Antonio Rudiger – 7/10

Rudiger too had a great game for us and hopefully, he will play at the same level next season as we look for a better campaign.

Victor Moses – 6/10

Moses spent most of the time defending against Ashley Young and the former Wigan man did a pretty decent job, though he could not attack as much as he would have liked to.

Cesc Fabregas – 6/10

Fabregas did have one or two great passes to open up United but this was not his greatest match and he didn’t have a lot of impact on the match.

N’Golo Kante – 8/10

A brilliant performance from the Frenchman. He got the job done in the heart of the midfield and his never-ending energy got Chelsea through.

Tiemoue Bakayoko – 7.5/10

Another player with a great performance, the former Monaco man was excellent in the heart of the park and did a lot of running and pressing as well.

Marcos Alonso – 7/10

Moses might not have been able to barge forward but Alonso did his bit of defensive work and also helped the attack whenever possible.

Eden Hazard – 8/10

Possibly the one player that could change a game of this magnitude and he did that by winning the penalty and converting it too.

Olivier Giroud – 6.5/10

This was not the best game for Giroud as he could have provided us with a better option up front in terms of holding the ball or even helping Hazard out in the attack.

Substitutes

Alvaro Morata – N/A

Came on really late with nothing much to do.

Willian – N/A

Again, came on late with barely any time left on the clock.
