Chelsea star loses his cool and walks away from interview after his country’s win vs Russia

Olivier Giroud was not a happy camper after the national side defeated Russia on Tuesday. The Chelsea striker was speaking to the media after the win but lost his cool when a journalist tried to get the attention of another French star.

Kylian Mbappe was walking past the interview when a journalist cut off the former Montpellier striker. Giroud then rightfully walked off due to the disrespect displayed by the media.

Giroud was quoted by RMC Sport as he came back to speak to the journalist who wanted to interview Mbappe.

“Do you want to go and speak to him? Go ahead, then.” Giroud added before walking away.

That wasn’t the end of it as the group then pleaded the Chelsea man to come back and finish the interview before he added another line in anger.

“I don’t understand, I am speaking to you, OK…”

Giroud did continue the interview but it seemed like he was distracted once again as Manchester United star Paul Pogba walked by. Giroud then ended the interview.

The Frenchman is yet to score for the Blues in the Premier League. We trail Spurs by 5 points after 30 games in the Premier League and are in danger of missing out on a top-four finish and a Champions League spot next season.

A win would close the gap down to just two points and would provide us with a massive boost to finish the season on a high and squeeze into the Champions League places.
