Chelsea willing to break the bank to sign Real Madrid midfielder with 3 goals and 2 assists

Chelsea have had a tumultuous season so far, with Antonio Conte constantly at loggerheads with the club over a lack of quality transfers. The Italian had spoken out about not getting his targets, however, the Blues could be on the verge of completing a deal for Casemiro of Real Madrid.

A report carried by Don Balon claims that we have made an offer to the La Liga giants and will be looking to complete a deal for the Brazilian in the summer. Casemiro has become an integral member of Zinedine Zidane’s side and is one of the few players who has had a decent season for the Spanish club this time around.

The 25-year-old plays as a defensive midfielder and could be the perfect partner for N’Golo Kante or even a replacement for the Frenchman should Kante pick up an injury.

Casemiro has played 25 times in the Champions League and La Liga and has 3 goals and 2 assists to his name. Chelsea would have to pay a lot of money to get their man but Casemiro would be a fantastic signing ahead of the new season.

A Quality Midfielder But Will Real Let Him Go?

For all the talk of Real Madrid in a crisis, it is necessary that they keep hold of Casemiro as the Brazilian was partly the reason for the side winning the Champions League and La Liga last season.

Real might not be known for producing a lot of quality defensive players but Casemiro is one of the best in the world and if he does sign for Chelsea, it would be a statement of intent not only from Conte but also from the management at the club.

This could also be the end of the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater, who have failed to perform at the club since arriving.

The problem not only lies with the fact that we have to pay a lot of money but also that Don Balon are not reliable and this could be just a ploy to get the player’s name into the news. Casemiro is certainly a key player for Real and it is highly unlikely that the 25-year-old would be moving at the end of this season unless a crazy offer comes for him.
